Hoults Yard “Unite for the Hunger Fight” with a Festive Food Bank Donation

Read Time: < 1 minutes

Businesses from across Newcastle’s vibrant business village Hoults Yard have clubbed together to make festive donation of over 1,500 items to a local foodbank based in Newcastle’s Eastend.

They say Christmas is a time for giving and that’s why the Ouseburn based businesses have continued the annual traditional of supporting foodbanks in their local community.

This is the third year running they have made a bumper donation to the Newcastle based foodbank, to give those in greatest need a helping hand at this vital time of year.

The food bank collections were jointly organised by healthcare marketing and communication specialists Onyx Health and digital marketing agency Silverbean, who have their headquarters in the Mailing Exchange and The Kiln.

The Mailing Exchange collection was coordinated by Onyx Health’s very own Olivia Green, who received generous donations of food and toiletries from businesses across all floors of the building.

Olivia led the communication campaign for foodbank donations, devising its snappy slogan “Hoults Unite for the Hunger Fight” to spur employees into action.

Commenting on the success of this year’s food bank Account Executive Olivia Green said, “Christmas is challenging time for the people in need in our community. I’m so proud that we’ve managed to keep the food bank initiative running three years on the trot. We have ambitious plans to build on our success by getting record donations next year.

The foodbank campaign created a fantastic sense of unity throughout the building. I’d like to thank everyone who gave so generously, their gifts will make such a difference to someone in Newcastle this Christmas.”
